These terms cover use of driftleaf.aetherassembly.org — this marketing and documentation site. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
AetherAssembly is a small, independent, currently-unregistered team based in Pennsylvania, USA. "We," "us," and "AetherAssembly" refer to the individuals who build and maintain this site and Driftleaf. We're not (yet) a formally registered business entity, so please treat these terms accordingly — this is a project run by people, not a corporation.
This site exists to describe Driftleaf, help you download it, and explain how its encryption works — it is not the software itself. Driftleaf, the desktop app, is separately licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later and governed by its own Terms of Service. These Terms of Use govern your use of this website only; installing or using the app is governed by its own license and terms.
You're welcome to browse, read, and link to this site. A few basic rules:
Site content — text, layout, and design on driftleaf.aetherassembly.org — belongs to AetherAssembly unless otherwise noted. This is separate from Driftleaf's source code, which is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later — see the Driftleaf repository for its specific license terms. The real screenshots on this site show the actual application; we try to keep them current but they may lag behind the latest release.
This site links to and relies on services we don't control, including GitHub, the AetherAssembly wiki, and Google Fonts. We're not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those third-party services. Use of any linked service is subject to that service's own terms.
This site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, or that any documentation — including the download and installation instructions — is fully accurate or current for every platform and distribution.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AetherAssembly and its members aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Because we're an informal, currently-unregistered team rather than a registered business, this limitation applies to the individuals operating the site personally.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
