This policy covers driftleaf.aetherassembly.org only — this marketing and documentation site. It does not cover the Driftleaf desktop app itself, which has its own privacy policy describing how the application handles your notes and local data. It also doesn't cover aetherassembly.org, the main AetherAssembly site, which has its own privacy policy.
This site is fully static: no accounts, no analytics, no cookies, and no forms. There's very little to disclose, but the sections below cover it anyway, because we'd rather over-disclose than under-disclose.
This site does not set any cookies, and doesn't use localStorage or any other browser storage. We don't run analytics, telemetry, or tracking scripts of our own. The only third-party request this site makes is for web fonts (below) — if you block requests to Google's font servers, nothing on this site sets a cookie or tracks you in any way. Because nothing here sets a cookie, there's no separate cookie policy or cookie consent banner — this section is it.
This site loads web fonts (Syne, DM Sans) directly from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address and browser information are sent to Google as part of that request, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We don't control what Google does with that request beyond serving the font file.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Like most hosting/CDN providers, Cloudflare may automatically log standard technical information for security and operational purposes — things like IP address, browser/user-agent string, requested page, and timestamp. We use this only to keep the site running and secure, not to build a profile of visitors.
This site links out to GitHub, the AetherAssembly wiki, aetherassembly.org, and legal.aetherassembly.org. Each of those is a separate site with its own privacy practices — this policy doesn't cover them.
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children — in part because we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone visiting this site.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since we don't collect contact information from visitors, we generally won't be able to notify you directly — check back if you're curious.
