Get Driftleaf

Linux

The one-line installer picks the right package for your distro. Run it interactively:

curl -fsSL https://aetherassembly.org/install.sh | bash

For scripts and other non-interactive use, specify the app:

curl -fsSL https://aetherassembly.org/install.sh | bash -s -- driftleaf

Debian, Ubuntu & Raspberry Pi OS — APT repository (recommended)

Supports amd64 and arm64. New stable releases may take up to 12 hours to reach APT; betas are GitHub-only. Verify the signing key fingerprint 32B72F22E77E21F510B31849A7B44812A39EEB9C before trusting it.

Or a downloaded .rpm: sudo dnf install ./Driftleaf-<version>-1.x86_64.rpm (use the aarch64.rpm asset on ARM64).

Release notes include a SHA256 checksum for every asset — verify with sha256sum <file> and compare before installing.

macOS

Download the DMG from the release page, open it, and drag Driftleaf to Applications.

The build is unsigned and not notarized, so macOS may block it from opening. If you trust the download, clear its quarantine flag:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Driftleaf.app"

Windows

The one-line installer works here too:

irm https://aetherassembly.org/install.ps1 | iex

Or download the -setup.exe installer from the release page and run it. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the build isn't code-signed — select More info, then Run anyway, if you trust the download.

Beta releases

Beta builds are marked as prereleases on GitHub for evaluation before a stable release. They're not published to apt, COPR/OBS, or the AUR — grab them directly from the release page. Stable releases always stay available at the latest release.
